A good workshop can save months of trial and error. This post brings together our earlier articles on online federal contracting workshops and workshop pricing.

What a solid workshop should cover

SAM.gov registration and maintenance, NAICS codes and size standards, finding and reading solicitations, set-aside programs (SDVOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB), pricing and proposal basics, and compliance topics such as FAR clauses and CMMC Level 1.

Online vs. in-person

Online workshops are easier to fit around a job site schedule and usually cost less. In-person sessions give more networking. Either way, look for time to ask questions about your own business.

What drives the price

Price depends on length, how much is tailored to your company, whether materials and templates are included, and whether follow-up support is offered. Free government-sponsored training (for example from APEX Accelerators and SBA) is a great starting point; paid workshops should add hands-on help with your own registrations and bids.

Our workshop

The Allen Solutions Ltd Contracting Workshop ($350) is a practical session focused on your company: your SAM record, your NAICS codes, the opportunities that fit you, and your next bid. Need a hand?
